I want to try a different medium for art, acrylic, but it looks horrible compare with oil, what your opinion?

Try a glazing medium which allows you to build up thinner, shiny glazes of acrylic paint, giving a look closer to oil. Acrylic looks very plastic when you thin it out with water of use thick, fat globs of paint.
In my experience, retarder is relatively worthless. All it does is slightly slow drying time.
Another option is to varnish the whole painting when you are done which creates a nice sheen that can mimic the shine/glow of oil.
